The 2nd International Conference on the Biology, Geology, and Environment of the Hadal Trenches opened in Sanya, Hainan Province on November 14th. Hosted by the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the conference has gathered nearly 20 representatives from New Zealand, Indonesia, Chile, Denmark, and other countries.
